European Union and United Kingdom now hold social networks responsible for content

Since Monday, for example, British authorities have been demanding that platforms such as Facebook and Tiktok combat illegal activities and adopt more robust security measures. If they fail to comply with the new rules, companies could be punished with heavy fines.
