On the 29th and 30th of November, at Cubo Itaú (São Paulo), Innovation Festival held its third edition, bringing together experts from different areas of knowledge to discuss the future of the creative market in Brazil.

Researchers from the Laboratory of Internet and Social Network Studies at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (NetLab UFRJ), Marie Santini and Marcio Borges, were invited to talk about the lucrative industry of online disinformation – a machine that generates millions in income for some and does great harm to others.

The presentation highlighted how misinformation has created its own market, feeding a web of social and economic relations that only benefit advertisers of dubious content and, particularly, 'Big Techs'.

The program also included panels, workshops and business-focused roundtables with major references in innovation and entrepreneurship, as well as other activities related to the sector. Topics such as generative AI, the future of podcasts and the reinvention of work today were discussed.

The event is organized by Fast Company Brasil, with support from Itaú, Globo, TikTok, JC Decaux and Serasa Experian. The broadcast is available on YouTube.
